Get a piece of clean white cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. Gently blot the lipstick stain. Don't rub the moistened cloth on the stain to prevent the stain from spreading further and to avoid damaging the clothing fiber. Repeat the steps if necessary.
On the other hand, instead of using alcohol, you can also use a dishwashing detergent. Drop a small quantity of the detergent on the stain; leave it for about 5 to 10 minutes and afterwards, lightly dab the stain inwards.
Ever heard of the hairspray trick for lipstick stain removal? Check first if the hairspray ingredients will not harm your fabric. Spray a minimal amount on the stain, let it sit for about 15 minutes and gently wipe the stain afterwards with a clean white cloth moistened with warm water.
If the stain is completely gone or is less visible, proceed to washing and rinsing. Air dry the laundry item instead of putting it in the dryer to prevent the stain from setting in. If after drying and the stain is still noticeable, bring the item then to the dry cleaner.
